If you sent a text message in response to our TV advert

Thank you for texting in response to our TV advert. Texts will be charged at your standard network rate. We will try to call you back soon. The number that will be displayed and is free to receive is: 0203 455 2910.

If you sent a text message to make a single donation from your mobile 

Thank you for supporting us with a single gift through your mobile. You will be charged the donation amount plus one text message at your standard network rate. World Animal Protection will receive 100% of your gift. If the keyword or short code in your text message is incorrect, you may still be charged for a text message at your standard network rate. However, you will not be charged by World Animal Protection for the donation.

If you have text to set-up a regular monthly gift from your mobile

Thank you for supporting us with a regular gift through your mobile. As part of this charity subscription service, you will be charged the monthly donation amount plus two text messages at your standard network rate in the first month, one for your initial text with keyword and one for your confirmation text, and the monthly donation amount each month thereafter, unless you choose to skip a month.

World Animal Protection will receive 100% of your gift. Please see the full step by step guide below.

Skipping a monthly donation

To miss a month, text SKIP to the number you text to donate. SKIP must be sent within 24 hours after receiving the monthly payment notification text and before the payment confirmation text is received the next day. SKIP will not work at any other time of the month, it can only be triggered once the 24 hour payment notification text has gone out. 

Cancelling a monthly donation

To unsubscribe, text STOP to the number you text to donate or call 0800 316 99 66 and leave a message, a member of the supporter care team will call you back between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. If the keyword or short code in your text message is incorrect, you may still be charged for a text message at your standard network rate. However, you will not be charged by World Animal Protection for the donation. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

What happens next?

After you have made a single donation from your mobile

Step by step: 

  • Immediately after you send a keyword you will receive a free text message thanking you for your support and confirming your single donation amount.

After you have set-up a regular monthly gift from your mobile

Step by step:

  • Immediately after you send a keyword you will receive a free text message asking you to reply to confirm you wish to set up a monthly donation to World Animal Protection through your mobile phone.
  • Please reply to this message with the word CONFIRM to confirm you are happy to set up a monthly donation. This will be charged as one text message at your standard network rate.
  • If we do not receive your reply with the word CONFIRM, we will not be able to set up your donation.
  • Following receipt of your confirmation message, you will receive another free text message from World Animal Protection thanking you for your support, confirming your monthly subscription and a link to our SMS terms and conditions.
  • 24 hours before each monthly donation is due you will receive another free payment notification text with instructions on how to skip your gift. If you are happy to continue giving you won’t need to do anything, and your gift will be taken as normal. If you wish to skip a month, reply SKIP within 24 hours of receiving the text. If you choose to skip a month, World Animal Protection won’t take your donation that month and you will only be charged one text message at your standard network rate.
  • Every three months, 24 hours before your monthly donation is due you will receive a free payment notification text with instructions on how to cancel your monthly subscription. If you are happy to continue giving you won’t need to do anything, and your gift will be taken as normal. However, if you wish to cancel your subscription, reply STOP within 24 hours of receiving the text. If you choose to stop your subscription, World Animal Protection won’t take any further donation and you will only be charged for one text message at your standard network rate. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
  • If you choose to skip your donation three months in a row, you will automatically receive a free text message with instructions on how to completely stop your donations.
  • Each month on the day your donation is taken, you will receive a free thank you text message.

Unsubscribe

By contacting us via text message in response to our TV advert you agree that we may call you on your mobile with updates on how your support is helping animals in need. We may also text you with information about our work and success stories. You may also receive links to short videos, our website and other content that can be viewed on your mobile browser. We won’t charge you for this content, but you may incur charges from your network provider.

If you would like to unsubscribe or do not wish to receive any further communication from World Animal Protection in the future, please contact us:

  • Telephone - 0800 316 99 66 and leave a message, a member of the supporter care team will call you back between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Email - hello@worldanimalprotection.org.uk (please include your full name and mobile number)
  • Text - If you do not wish to receive any fundraising calls from us, text ‘NOCALL’ to the number you text to donate.
  • Text - If you do not wish to receive any fundraising texts from us, text ‘STOP’ to the number you text to donate. Please note that by opting out from SMS you will automatically cancel your regular monthly mobile gift if you are signed up to one.
  • Text - ‘SKIP’ to the number you text to donate if you would like to skip a month of giving or text ‘STOP’ to the number you text to donate if you wish to cancel your monthly subscription, ’SKIP’ must be sent within 24 hours after receiving the monthly payment notification text and before the payment confirmation text is received the next day.

Please note that your contact preferences will be updated within 10 working days.

General terms

World Animal Protection will not be liable for delays or failures in receipt of any text messages, as delivery is subject to transmission from your network operator and processing by your mobile phone device.

This SMS service is being provided for World Animal Protection by the third party provider, InstaGiv, Highbridge House, 23-25 High Street, Belfast BT1 2AA and Cymba, 36 Gloucester Avenue, London NW1 7BB

Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your mobile number, your carrier's name and the date, the time and content of your messages and other information that you may provide. Click here to view our Privacy Policy.

You must obtain permission from the bill payer and must be 16 years or over to give a single gift or start to give monthly via text message (mobile giving). Please note that you can donate from a UK mobile only. If you donate using this service from a UK mobile outside England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you may incur additional network charges.

Gift Aid

Your single or monthly donation may be eligible for Gift Aid. We may contact you via SMS to give you instructions how to add Gift Aid to your donation. We may send you a link to a webpage so you can enter your details in case you would like to add Gift Aid to your donation. Please note that any mobile browsing may incur data charges from your network provider.
