Captive bear behind a fence

With your help, there’s real hope that in 2024 we can finally rescue Baloo and support him in his new home at Libearty Sanctuary. Please will you donate today?

Baloo needs your help

Baloo’s case is currently in the spotlight, but if we fail to act now the moment may pass. If you believe Baloo shouldn’t suffer a moment longer, then please donate today. A regular gift each month will help rescue Baloo and provide the care he needs at the sanctuary, along with the other 119 bears living at Libearty, all who have all been rescued from exploitation and horrific circumstances.

After 23 years being held captive at a Romanian ski resort, we finally have a chance to rescue Baloo.

Over 100,000 people all over the world have signed a petition demanding his release to the Libearty Sanctuary, but now we need your help to turn this people power into a new life for Baloo.

By making a regular monthly donation, you can help us harness this groundswell of public support and convince the Romanian Government to force Baloo’s owner to surrender him to the Libearty Bear Sanctuary. There he can live out his days in peace.

Your support could also help the 119 other bears who call Libearty home, helping to provide the food, medicine, and care they need to have the best quality of life possible. As Europe’s largest bear sanctuary, it offers these bears 69 hectares of beautiful coniferous forest to roam in, with lakes, trees and rivers to play in.

After experiencing a life of such pain and distress, we can think of nothing better than to free Baloo from his suffering and give him the chance of a new life at Libearty where he can finally rest, recover and make friends with his own kind.

This is our best chance of rescuing Baloo. We can’t let it pass.
