You can help end factory farms for good

Factory farms subject animals to unimaginable suffering, all to deliver cheap food and quick profits.

Mother pigs are trapped in cages so tiny they can’t care for their piglets. Chickens are bred to grow so fast their organs can’t keep up. Cows are milked again and again, and then killed at just a few years old.

Around 80% of farmed animals in the UK are trapped in vast factory farms. Kept in cramped and filthy conditions, they’re abused, exploited and slaughtered.

These animals have thoughts, emotions and personalities. Just like us, they feel pain, terror and distress – and they deserve to be treated with care and dignity. We’re determined to end this cruelty and build a humane, sustainable food system.

With your support we can work with industry, governments and consumers to ensure farmed animals live good lives, and end factory farming for good.

Giving birth again and again

A mother pig on a factory farm can give birth at less than a year old. When her babies are due, she’s moved into a cage barely bigger than her body.

Once she has given birth, she’s separated from her piglets by cold metal bars. She may be able to see and feed them, but can’t turn or reach them.

At just three weeks old, the mother’s piglets are taken from her. As soon as a week later, she could be impregnated all over again.

Around the world, 80 million female pigs are trapped in this brutal cycle. But pigs are sensitive, intelligent animals, not breeding machines.

Will you help stop pigs being abused and exploited on factory farms?

Why your gift matters

Your donation will help protect animals around the world

We know times are tough for everyone. Many people simply can’t afford to give right now, so your donation will mean so much.  If you can spare even a few pounds a month, your kindness will help keep our vital work going and make a huge difference for animals worldwide.  A regular gift is the most cost-effective way you can donate.
