Donate nowOne of the elephants that The Elephant Ambulance Project has already helped is Mae Sunya. The ambulance team found Mae Sunya completely blind in one eye, and suffering from a severe infection in the other eye. On her hip, she had a large, oozing abscess, which was causing her great pain. She was in imminent danger of losing sight completely as well as developing life-threatening blood poisoning from the infected abscess.
The Elephant Ambulance project has already made a huge difference for elephants like Mae Sunya, and thanks to the ambulance, she is now recovering and receiving long-term care.
Can you help fund the elephant ambulance and ongoing medical care for elephants like Mae Sunya?
Mae Sunya is just one of far too many elephants in captivity in Laos who urgently need veterinary care. Many elephants live in remote areas, where there are no qualified veterinarians, and where extreme poverty makes it difficult to afford life-saving medicine.

With your support, we can help fund The Elephant Ambulance
You can help provide emergency veterinary care and deliver life-saving medicine to elephants in the most remote corners of Laos. The veterinarians also work with the elephants' owners and handlers, providing them with more knowledge about elephant care and animal welfare, improving the quality of life for these elephants.
Donate now to keep the elephant ambulance running and save more elephants like Mae Sunya
