Nepal needs urgent help.
Devastating floods have swept through Nepal, leaving people and animals injured, frightened and in desperate need of help.
For animals caught in the floods, the danger doesn’t end when the waters recede. Many are injured, hungry and vulnerable - with nowhere safe to go and no access to the food or veterinary care they desperately need.
When disaster strikes, World Animal Protection needs to be able to respond quickly to protect animals. Donations to our work help us do this – alongside our wider work to end animal exploitation and protect animals from the impacts of climate change.
Please donate today and help us be there for animals when they need us most, giving them a chance to survive and recover.
What animals in Nepal need right now
- Emergency veterinary care for animals that are injured or sick
- Food and essential supplies for dogs, cats, goats, horses, cows, pigs and other animals
- Search and rescue to find animals trapped or stranded by the floods
- Reuniting lost animals with their families, wherever possible
How we’re helping
World Animal Protection is working with Voice of Animal Nepal, Animal Nepal and Jane Goodall Institute Nepal to support emergency animal rescue and care following the devastating floods.
Together with our local partners, we can help:
- Get help to animals quickly - providing veterinary treatment, food, shelter and, where needed, safe evacuation
- Support local rescue teams and vets with the equipment and resources they need to treat and care for animals
- Find and reunite animals with their families after they have been separated by the floods
- Help communities prepare for future disasters, so animals are included in emergency plans and evacuations
Your support can help local teams reach animals when they need it most, and give them the care and protection they need to survive.
We will use your donation where the need is greatest to protect animals, like those featured in this appeal, from cruelty and suffering.
