This year, we have the rare opportunity to do something incredible for the 31 rescued dancing monkeys – release them back into the wild.

After being rescued from a lifetime of exploitation in the entertainment industry, these monkeys are now on a journey of healing and recovery at our partner, Jakarta Animal Aid Network’s Sanctuary in Indonesia . , These next few months are crucial - by joining the Monkey Freedom Project, you could help provide life-saving medical care, nutritious food, and the expertise of dedicated sanctuary staff to teach them the essential skills they need to thrive in the wild. With you by their side, they’ll have the best chance to take their first steps back to where they truly belong by the end of the year.  

This is an incredibly rare opportunity, only made possible because there is an uninhabited island where the monkeys can be released, and the sanctuary staff have the skills and expertise to encourage the monkeys to form social bonds so they can be released in groups.
