Fund Mannie's first year of care in sanctuary
Donate nowCan you give Mannie the sanctuary he deserves?
For years, Lion Mannie lived alone at a theme park in the Netherlands, confined indoors with only a small outdoor space. He had no companionship, little stimulation, and constant noise. Thanks to kind supporters, Mannie has now arrived safely at a sanctuary in South Africa. But he still needs help to cover his first year of care.
Born in captivity and rejected by his father, Mannie has never known the warmth of his mother’s care beyond infancy. Instead, he has been kept in isolation, with no contact with others of his kind.
This is not the life a lion is meant to live.
Thanks to our kind supporters, Mannie has now moved to a sanctuary in South Africa. For the first time, he has space to roam, the chance to bond with another lion, and—most importantly—the care and respect every lion deserves.
