Fund Mannie's first year of care in sanctuary

For six long years, Mannie knew only noise, loneliness and confinement. Born in a theme park and rejected by his father, Mannie has never known the warmth of his mother’s care beyond infancy. Instead, he has been kept in isolation, with no contact with others of his kind.

Now, for the first time in his life, Mannie is safe

Thanks to kind supporters, Mannie was moved to a peaceful sanctuary in South Africa where he finally has space to move, grass under his paws, and the chance to begin a more natural life. But this first year is critical.

Mannie is still adjusting to his new surroundings. He’ll need time, care and close support to recover from the trauma of captivity and start building the confidence to behave like the lion he was meant to be.

By donating today, you could help cover vet care to keep Mannie healthy and monitor his recovery, provide the nutritious meals he needs to rebuild strength, and support the upkeep of his spacious new enclosure so he can explore safely. It could also help fund the expert care needed to prepare him for a careful introduction to two other rescued lions—giving him the chance to form bonds for the first time in his life.

Your gift will not only help Mannie—it will also support animals like him, rescued from cruelty and now safe in sanctuaries that depend on public generosity.

Please help Mannie take his first real steps toward a better life
