Saying YES to LESS is all about reducing our consumption of meat and dairy for animals, people and the planet. Despite the many benefits of reducing our meat and dairy intake, the prospect of changing our diet can be daunting for some people.
Even the phrase ‘meat and dairy reduction’ can cause a negative psychological reaction as people generally don’t like to have less of something they might enjoy - even if there are a whole host of reasons why less of it might actually be a good thing.
However, reducing your consumption of meat and dairy doesn’t automatically mean having to give up all the foods you like! So many of the delicious everyday foods we already eat are plant-based (vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds etc), plus the supermarkets are now full of tasty and affordable meat and dairy alternatives.
On top of this, there are many familiar products, snacks and treats which just happen to be meat and dairy free, meaning you can continue to enjoy them as you always have. Here just some of the everyday foods you may well already have in your home which are ‘accidentally plant-based'! Do any surprise you?

Although making changes to our food choices can be a challenge at first, if you think about all of the things you CAN eat, the transition to a more plant-based diet becomes that much easier!
