Take part in the trip of a lifetime. Book a place on World Animal Protection's incredible Romania Bear Trek Adventure.
An unforgettable adventure
Ever wanted to see the bears that your money helps protect? Then join us in September 2016 for our Romania Bear Trek Adventure.
On this challenging seven day trek you'll explore the valleys and peaks of Romania's stunning Carpathian Mountains before arriving at the sanctuary to see the bears that you have helped rescue from cruel captivity.
You and your fellow trekkers will walk up to 50 kilometres and climb over 500 metres before reaching the sanctuary where you can see the bears living peacefully in their beautiful woodland surroundings.
This is a fantastic way for you to raise money for World Animal Protection which will go directly to our work with wildlife.
Join the Bear Trek today

It’s an ambitious fundraising target, but you won’t be alone. We’re here to help with fundraising ideas and resources - and we can connect you with other participants to share inspiration and advice. This will take determination, planning and momentum, but we know you can do it!

What past trekkers have to say
“I went on World Animal Protection's Bear Adventure in 2007 and had such an amazing time that I decided to do it again in 2009, 2013 and 2014!”
Colin Sharp from Baldock, Hertsfordshire
“The trek was a great opportunity to see spectacular scenery and meet new friends, but most importantly to see World Animal Protection's work in action. When I first saw a bear, so close in its natural habitat it made me so happy...Seeing them lying in the sun and playing in the pools at the sanctuary was an opportunity too good to miss – they looked so content. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone."
Gillian Dailly, from Midlothian, Scotland
