It’s only thanks to our kind supporters, people like you, that we are able to protect animals from cruelty and suffering around the world. From disaster relief and emergency vet care, to protecting animals exploited in the tourist industry - everything we do depends solely on the generosity of the public. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Your support is so important. That’s why we strive to provide a positive experience for you and to be as transparent as possible about how we use your personal information and how we keep it safe and secure. When you make the decision to support World Animal Protection, we promise in return that:

In 2016, for every £1 you donated to World Animal Protection, 76p went directly to our work to protect animals, 3p was spent on administration and 21p helped towards raising the next £1.

World Animal Protection is registered with the Fundraising Regulator, and is a member of the Direct Marketing Association. We follow the Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, and the DMA’s code of conduct, focusing on fairness, respect and diligence with data. We work with professional fundraising agencies to assist us in raising funds to help animals. We choose our partners carefully and each agency is required to work to a high standard.

We will respect your privacy:

We’ll keep your details safe and secure, and we’ll never swap or sell your information with or to any third party. 

We will respect your wishes:

We won’t put pressure on you to make a donation – it’s always your choice to do so. If you don’t want to give or you wish to stop giving altogether, we will respect your decision.

We won’t contact you by phone, email or text message unless you have explicitly told us it’s ok to do so. If you have given us your postal address we will use it for carefully considered purposes and send you occasional postal mailings like our magazine, catalogue and appeals. If you’d prefer not to receive these, would like to stop hearing from us, or change the way we communicate, you can do so at any time.
